If you've just picked up a live tree for the holidays you may have unfortunately come in contact with sticky and hard-to-remove tree sap. One way to easily remove it from your skin is by using toothpaste as Reddit user Celesmeh points out.
You'll need to put a large dab of toothpaste on your skin where the sap is stuck and spend a few minutes manually rubbing the toothpaste into the sap and then wash your hands with soap. The abrasives in the toothpaste should break down the sticky sap and allow you to wash it away with soap.
You can also remove sap from your hands using salt, from your carpet with rubbing alcohol, and from hardwood floors with mineral spirits. Photo by Steven Depolo
